Full course description
This module was co-designed by Dr. Shawn Corcoran MD, a general internist at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Dr. Georgianna Sergakis PhD, Professor of Respiratory Therapy in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at Ohio State. This module focuses on building and teaching universal clinical reasoning skills and processes, regardless of area of clinical practice. Learners will explore the clinical reasoning process including biases that can hinder the process and the questioning techniques used to probe thinking in learners and classify the questioning in relation to taxonomies. Case based active learning is used to practice skills and skill assessment is discussed.
