About This Course:

This online self-study course presents a fundamental understanding of the requirements for informed consent processes in clinical research.

This course is made possible through the OSU Center for Clinical Translational Science.

Target Audience:

Clinical research professionals, junior faculty conducting clinical research.

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand historical influences leading to regulations and guidelines for the informed consent process in clinical research.
  • Apply required elements of informed consent.
  • Compare the informed consent requirements according to population needs.
  • Recognize how team science applies in quality informed consent practices.
