CTSI - Investigational Product Approvals

Course Description: 

This course is designed to provide a fundamental knowledge of clinical research, investigational new product development and approval processes.

Course Objectives:

1. Define the phases of new investigational drug development.
2. Explain the differences between drugs, generics, and biologics.
3. Identify how the FDA classifies devices.
4. Summarize the stages for investigational device development.

This course provides 0.9 Nursing Contact Hours from The Ohio State University College of Nursing at no charge.  The OSU College of Nursing is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation, provider # N008222.
